Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a patient?
To begin your health journey with Brown Holistic Health, we ask that you please complete the New Patient Intake Form. Once you submit the form, a member of Brown Holistic Health will contact you within 2-3 business days, to ensure that the care we provide fits your needs. Once determined, we will schedule your new patient visit. Please contact support@brownholistichealth.com for any additional questions.
What are the costs for appointments at Brown Holistic Health?
Initial and follow-up visits will be $399.00 per visit. This will include 45-60 minutes of direct provider time. For new patients only, there is a required Protocol Review visit billed at $199.00. This will be 30-45 minutes to review your labs, testing and the comprehensive program created by your provider based on the results. This can be scheduled as a phone call, zoom call or an in-person session. (It is preferred to be in-person for best results and interaction).
Other services such as compounded TRT, vitamin injections, labs, specialty testing, supplements or other longevity injections/patches will be billed separately.
How do labs work at Brown Holistic Health?
Brown Holistic Health has vetted many options to find the least expensive yet most detailed labs to get the best clinical picture for you as the patient. We will be doing labs through RUPA Health as this offers a wholesale/cash pay option for those who typically do not get good coverage for bloodwork. RUPA Health also streamlines labs by directly importing lab results directly into your patient profile (EMR). Once you receive your lab order from Brown Holistic Health, you will receive instructions and payment options through RUPA Health, not Brown Holistic Health. You may use a credit card or an HSA/FSA account as well. There are payment plans available if needed.
If you have further questions, please submit to support@brownholistichealth.com.
What kinds of payments are accepted?
Our practice is a cash pay practice. HSA or Flex spending cards will be accepted but always check with your insurance carrier as we cannot guarantee coverage. We do accept all major credit cards, cash and check. Please note — There will be a nominal credit card transaction fee.
Do you accept insurance?
At Brown Holistic Health, we do not participate with any insurance carrier. We cannot submit medical claims or help with claim resolution on your behalf. Brown Holistic Health falls under the “Out of network provider” category. We do not participate in governmental insurance programs such as Medicaid, Medicare or Tricare, therefore we are not able to bill these services.
All services are strictly on a self-pay basis; however, we will provide you with an insurance billing invoice (Superbill), that you can submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.
What is a Superbill?
A Superbill is a detailed form that healthcare providers use to document services provided to a patient. It contains demographic information, billing codes, and fees used to create a claim for reimbursement.
Is Brown Holistic Health accepting new patients?
Yes. Please see “How Do I Become a Patient” (above) for more information.
What are your office hours?
Brown Holistic Health is open Tuesday thru Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 2pm. If these dates and times do not work for you, please send an email to us at support@brownholistichealth.com.
How do I order supplements?
Please set up your Fullscript account at https://us.fullscript.com/welcome/nbrown1727879088. Each account user will receive a 10% discount on all supplements when using this platform. An additional 5% off will be included when using the Auto Ship option. If you have any questions, please contact the office at support@brownholistichealth.com.
How do I contact you in between visits?
The preferred communication with your provider between visits is through the patient portal (chat). Here you can ask basic questions, give updates as you are working through the treatment program steps and request refills for prescription medications. If an acute need should arise, a scheduled appointment should be requested.
Does this office take the place of my PCP?
No. Brown Holistic Health encourages patients to establish care with a primary care provider. We are here to work with you on your health journey and can consult with your primary care provider if needed. If an acute issue arises, please contact your PCP or in an emergency situation call 911 or go to the emergency room.
What is your cancellation policy?
At Brown Holistic Health, we understand that schedules change. If for some reason you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, we ask for 48 hours’ notice of a cancellation. We will work with you to reschedule at a time convenient for you. If a late cancellation or appointment no show occurs, then a $50 fee will be billed to the credit card on file.
